Learning Languages The Right Way

Our mission

At Atelier Language Institute, we strive to offer personalized, customizable, and high-quality French and Japanese live online VCE tutoring courses.

We want to give students the best possible support during their learning journey. We provide flexible learning options for the needs of all students, from reviewing basic skills to reaching fluency.

Our lessons

We believe that online lessons are not a poorer version of traditional, face-to-face lessons. Our lessons are interactive and engaging. No distractions, and a complete interaction with the teacher. You are the centre of attention, always ready to use the language you learn. You can fully engage without having to wait for your turn. In addition, resources are created or shared based on the students' demands and needs.

Our learning experience

Every student gets the opportunity to be supported. Every student has the chance to succeed. At Atelier, not only do we provide high-quality lessons, but we also enable the learning experience to happen between sessions. Students are constantly supported and given the possibility to progress via engaging and stimulating activities.

Dean

French

Bonjour, my name is Dean and I am a native of Montpellier, in the south of France. I am a certified teacher with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and have been teaching languages for the past 23 years, in Japan and Australia.
In Melbourne, I have taught hundreds of secondary school students since 2012, including many VCE students. My strengths include a lot of experience developing VCE courses and units of work, creating resources, and being an assessor for the French VCE examination.
I am very attentive to my students' needs and objectives with the French language. I always make sure that my students feel motivated, challenged and confident during their studies.
My areas of interest and expertise include cultural/social issues, understanding cultural differences, or writing techniques.

Learning Designer

Dean received this micro-credential which was awarded to participants of the 2021 MACS Creative, Rigorous, Action Research Collaborative. These participants were selected for their innovation and passion in languages education in the Catholic Education System in Victoria.

Aya

Japanese

はじめまして! My name is Aya, and I am a native Japanese instructor from Tokyo. After having worked in international companies for 15 years, I am now an enthusiastic tutor for VCE Japanese students. My positive nature allows me to constantly encourage students to develop their abilities with all skills of the language. I can help students with their accuracy and fluency, make corrections and provide adequate language courses/lessons adapted to their linguistic needs.

All in all, I am confident in my ability to bring out my students' full potential with their Japanese studies. I have also created a wide variety of stimulating and engaging listening and reading resources.

I have worked with numerous secondary students of Japanese around Melbourne, and completed 420 hours of the course for teaching as a foreign language with The World Japanese Language Centre (NSW).
